Victory in Europe

$14,500.00

Victory in Europe is based on the memoir, Company Commander, by Charles B. MacDonald and depicts the final days of World War 2 as the 23rd Infantry Regiment advances into Germany during the death throes of the Third Reich.

Macdonald describes it thus: “Our preparatory barrage against Ellershausen would begin at 3:15 and last for fifteen minutes. At the end of that time F Company and a platoon of tanks would advance under overhead machine-gun fire against the objective to the south and hit the town broadside. G Company would attack astride the highway toward the east, also with a platoon of tanks and overhead machine-gun fire. After clearing the town, we should be prepared to continue the advance. Regiment had assigned another objective. I cursed Regiment. They were always assigning “one more objective.”
